North Wilts PPC Ellie Bland with Party Leader Nigel Farage MEP

and Calne Councillor  John Ireland

Local Ukip’s New Leader & PPC

Ellie Bland has been selected to represent the UK Independence Party at the next General Election in North Wiltshire against Conservative James Gray MP.

Ellie is happily married to husband Dave who is a Calne Councillor and she is a leading figure locally being the Chairman of the Calne Crime Prevention Panel. Until recently, Ellie was a member of the Conservative Party but she resigned after the party failed to support her in the ‘ Racist E-Mail’ scandal which was orchestrated by the Liberal Democrat Leader Carol O’Gorman.

Cleared of all the accusations in the ensuing Police investigation, Ellie resigned from the Conservatives in disgust after their cowardly betrayal and joined the UK Independence Party. She has also been elected as the Chairman of  UKIP’s North Wiltshire Association and will lead them in their fight to win more local council seats and to get the residents of the area the right to take part in a Referendum on the proposed ‘European Treaty’ recently signed by the Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, against the wishes of the majority of the people.
